    Powerful

Bright, Powerful, and Built Well!I’m really impressed with the WUBEN X4 flashlight. It puts out an incredibly bright beam and has plenty of range, making it great for everything from working around the shop to checking things outside at night. The light feels solid and well-built in your hand, and it doesn’t feel like a cheap flashlight. The different lighting modes are convenient, and I really like having a powerful flashlight that I can rely on when I need it. The size is also great—easy to carry without sacrificing performance.Overall, this is an excellent flashlight for the price. Bright, durable, easy to use, and powerful enough for just about anything I’ve needed it for. Definitely recommend it!

this is just a really convenient and reliable flashlight

I ended up buying a second one of these, which pretty much says everything. It’s one of those things you don’t realize how useful it is until you start carrying it every day. The size is perfect—small enough to throw in your pocket, bag, or even keep in your truck without it getting in the way, but still powerful enough to actually be useful when you need it.The brightness is impressive for how compact it is. The 1500 lumens is more than enough for everyday situations, whether you’re working, looking for something in the dark, or just need a quick light. It’s not just a gimmick—it actually performs. The beam is clean and strong, and it doesn’t feel underpowered like some smaller lights do.Build quality is another big plus. It feels solid in your hand, not cheap or flimsy, and like it can take some use without falling apart. The controls are simple too, which I like. You don’t have to mess around with complicated settings just to turn it on or switch modes. The RGB feature is a nice bonus. It’s not something you’ll use all the time, but it’s cool to have and can come in handy depending on what you’re doing.Overall, this is just a really convenient, reliable flashlight that you’ll end up using way more than you expect. Buying a second one was an easy decision. Definitely worth it.

Seller stepped up when I had problems

I ordered two of these, one black to keep at the house, and one white to put in the car. They had overnight shipping if you ordered it later in the day, or if you order it in the morning, it’s same-day shipping. I got mine overnight and the black one seemed to be all right. Granted there’s a little complexity for the hoops you jump through for the various modes. The white flashlight, however, had a very loose slider selection switch. Compared to the black, you could tell that there was something not right with that sliding switch so obviously there’s some QA issues here. I returned that and got a replacement, and even the replacement white one had a bad loose switch. I wonder if it’s just a problem with the white versions or something.Addendum – seller offered to send me a replacement switch that wasn’t so loose. Except taking the ribbon cable out of the original switch, there’s no way for me to get it to seat properly in the new one due to the short length and limited working area even with needle nose pliers. So now I didn’t just have one white flashlight with a loose switch, I had a white flashlight that was rendered useless… And the seller again stepped up and offered me a full replacement, saying that the loose style of switch was an older version and it has been changed out, and a new version was on the way. I like a company that steps up to fix it when a product has an issue. That one arrived quickly, has a good switch, and both work flawlessly.Definitely bright – it’s quite flexible with the modes and small enough to be carried with you one way or another. I left one in the car and have the other at home.

Great Feature Rich EDC at a Great Price

This is a pretty darn well designed light. It has a nice substantial feel to it, and has lots of cool features. I won’t focus on those as you can read them in the description. Light output is good, it has a claimed output of 1,500 lumens, which I will believe. My usual EDC is a Cloud Defensive MCH Duty which is a verified 1,800 lumens and you can judge the perceived brightness for yourself. The tight beams are similar in brightness, but the Cloud does have a significantly wider flood. For situations where a lower light is required, the X4 really sets itself apart. Not only does the beam get significantly more dim, it’s infinitely adjustable on the way down, whereas I’m set with pre-set brightness in most other EDC lights. The side light is handy for map reading when you need to keep your light signature down or your low light vision intact, and if that isn’t enough set the RBG LED array to red.The fact it’s rechargeable is fantastic. It takes 18650 batteries which are interchangeable with the Cloud Defensive batteries I already have for my MCH and OWL. And it’s cool that it comes in a color besides “tactical” colors like black, tan, OD, etc.And since we’re talking “muh tactical”, let’s address one elephant in the room. This is a flashlight that is feature rich and it’s less than $100. I would NOT expect this light to stand up to any type of torture test you could put a Cloud, Surefire, or Streamlight through. That being said, this isn’t a tactical light. It’s a practical light. So, this doesn’t so much stress me out, especially given the price in relation to it’s features and my use case. As a general rule, I don’t put my stock in “Chinesium” with things I trust with my life (weapon optics and lights etc), but for an everyday EDC this light is great. Are there a few things I would change? Yes.The clip is backwards. The end of the flashlight where the light comes out of should not be facing up in your pocket. It’s incredibly awkward pulling it from your pocket and activating the main button on feel alone. You’re rotating and fumbling with the light in your hand. I’ve actually never encountered a pocket light where the clip orients the light facing upwards before. I am genuinely baffled by this design choice. No button, neither the main one or the additional one on the tail cap are easier to access with the orientation of the clip. I have spoken. The “mode” selector needs something done to it as well. Remember that whole weird clip thing? The whole it being backwards thing? Well when you’re fumbling with your light in your hand to orient it properly, the mode switch is easy enough to adjust that it could (and does for me) get switched over to a different mode accidentally. I would personally make the mode switch a little harder to toggle so it doesn’t inadvertently get moved. And frankly the full lock-out mode should ideally be a fully independent switch that is also something that requires a deliberate act to engage and disengage.Overall thoughts: I like it a lot. It’s a very practical size, feature rich, and has great output. I doubt I will test it’s water resistance however, as the charging port is directly behind the mode switch and is absolutely capable of being reached it submerged in water. It’s likely insulated and safe, because cellphones have exposed ports and carry IP67 ratings and higher but I’m not going to chance it. I would buy it again and will be heavily considering it’s big brother the X1Pro.

Small but ridiculously capable. This thing earns its spot in your EDC!

I’m a big EDC guy, so I’ve tried more flashlights than I care to admit. I recently picked up the Wuben G5 and liked it enough that when I saw the X4, I didn’t overthink it—I just bought it. Glad I did.First thing: the size and weight are spot on. It disappears in your pocket but still feels solid, not like one of those flimsy mini lights that crack if you look at them wrong. This thing is sturdy.Functionality is where it really stands out. It’s basically a multi-tool disguised as a flashlight. The RGB light is not just a gimmick—it actually adds versatility depending on what you’re doing. Whether it’s in your car, part of an emergency kit, or just general use while camping, it fits right in.It’s also very easy to operate. No complicated learning curve, you pick it up and it just makes sense. For the price, I think the quality-to-cost ratio is excellent. You’re getting a lot more utility than you’d expect in something this compact. If you’re into EDC or just want a reliable, compact flashlight you can throw anywhere and forget about until you need it, this is an easy recommendation.Don’t overthink it—just get one.

Far reaching bright light has me thinking 🤔

Fantastically powerful light that carries a long way out in front of you! Been my EDC since purchased last spring. Replaced my previous Wuben which I’ve carried for several years (now on semi-permanent assignment to my truck.) Colored mood lights on the side not sure I’ll ever need unless a Rave breaks out at the plant where I work. I do use white side light occasionally when working and may use red light in the deer stand. Love the magnetic base, rear quick-on lever button, and lock-off features. Variable brightness is helpful to avoid glare and reflection from item your working on. Battery compartment lock and quick-swap battery option is nice however I don’t charge it very often and haven’t really had it go dead on me yet.Have not had need for it defensively however I’m fairly certain the main light at full power or strobe could be an effective asset should the need arise to melt an attackers face off. Looking forward to defrosting my truck windows with it from the comfort of my kitchen while sipping coffee this winter before work. 🥶❄️🤣😂

    Great EDC Light!!

This light performs great in low-light situations. The battery life has been good and has not affected any of my commonly used cases yet. The build quality is excellent. It is smaller than I thought, but it has good weight in the hand. It feels very rugged, and I plan to pick up the other color option because I like it so much.

    Can’t put this thing down.

Have owned this for 2 weeks now and i am finding reasons to use it daily.I use the side light (Blue) when i am getting dressed in the bedroom so I don’t wake my wife by turning on harsh lights. When walking with the family at night around the neighborhood I clip it to the collar of my shirt or let it hang on the outside of my pocket with the side light on (Beacon mode) to make sure we are seen by vehicles. While working i use this walking through dim warehouses or in and out of Storage trailers or alleyways that are not well lit. I have been camping with this light and it worked great while walking around the campground at night, going through the trunk of the car or just maneuvering around in my tent. Since owning i have already purchased another and gifted to a friend because it’s such an awesome pocket flashlight with a real cool tactical look, great functionality and it can easily become part of your everyday life. I am still finding myself just sifting through the modes and messing with the different functions just out of boredom, it’s pretty entertaining. I hightl recommend purchasing 1 of these and trying it out for yourself, you will definitely be like me and develop reasons throughout the day to put it to good use. I do find myself getting jammed up from time to time while attempting to use it while in the dark, so many ridges sometimes in a pinch it is a little hard to feel the button because it’s almost flush with the rest of the flashlight. Other than that i admit i have dropped this once so far, the battery latch definitely did open but I was lucky enough that nothing broke unlike some of the reviews i have read. This flashlight in my opinion is a total win, very satisfied customer. Great job Wuben 👍🏼

An Excellent upgrade at a great price, just a few nitpicks

Been using the X4 for a couple days now, having gotten it as a more suitable upgrade over my Wuben E7 I have got to say I’m very happy with my purchase. I was able to intuitively learn the flashlights modes and settings without consulting the manual which is a sign of good design. It is adequately bright for my needs and can throw a solid amount of light at 250ft+ on the highest setting, though doing this wll heat up the head substantially so prolongued use may be uncomfortable. The added side LED has a dedicated white light strip that gives off some pretty good ambient light in a dark room and is adjustable with the rotating wheel, holding the side button will enable the dedicated RGB LED which you can cycle what colors you want again with the wheel, my only gripe with that is there’s no really nice option inbetween pink and blue for a vivid purple, which would have been nice for product photography. The head features 4 LEd lights, 2 general floods, one diffused light, and one hotspot light which also has a weaker flood in it, this culminates in a fairly good flood light with a strong center hotspot which helps throw the light much further. Overall the cosntruction and quality of the light is pretty solid given that it’s a fully aluminum light. One of the reasons why I upgraded to the X4 over the E7 was the size and profile of the light, the X4 is aas wide with the pocket clip as the E7 is at its thinnest point, and that size is pretty evenly distributed through the whole light. The pocket clip is nothing to write home about it works, doesn’t tear up my pants, and it’s a bit stiff. I should also mention that the light features a full lock mode on the light which disables everything so you don’t accidentally burn a hole in your pocket, because this light does get hot fast on max brightness. Though it does have a safety mode that it switches into if you hold the max brightness for about 15-20 seconds which is slightly less bright as to not overheat or hurt you.Now to my nitpicks, it’s primarily to do with the controls, or more specifically the feel. This will be short since I have very few issues with this light. The tail switch seems a little too light to actuate, which some might like. What I don’t like is the fact that the tail cap button is a little floppy, and when you shake the light in your hand, you can hear the aluminum pad smacking agaisnt the button underneath, its such a small issue I doubt msot will notice or care though, I just would have preferred a stiffer tail switch. My other complaint is the sliding mode selector being too easy toswitch between modes with, I can feel and hear the indents between modes, but it feels like I can easily accidentally switch off of whatever mode I’m on, and I have done it once so far, a stronger indent on the slider would be nice. And lastly my final issue is more of a concern and it’s in two spots, the cahrging port, and the wheel. I have had wheel based electronics fail on me more than most basic button actuators, and this light has both, the issue is the wheel is also a button, I see that as a potential fail point, especially if you get this light dirty enough to get fine dirt and grime in the wheel over time. The last concern is the charging port, the only way to access the USB-C charging port is to slide the mode slider all the way up to the night-mode, I’m not against this, but it leaves he USB-C port completely uncovered and exposed. Being that the slider is in a dedicated recessed pocket on the light, I can only imagine how much dirt will fall into the charging port since it’s exposed with no sort of plug, this could potentially lead to issues with debris clogging up your charging port over time.Overall I’m still very happy with my purchase and can still fully recommend it to anyone looking for a solid feature-rich EDC flashlight on a budget. And while it has replaced the E7 in my EDC, the E7 will still get plenty more use over the years.

Amazing tactical and all around flashlight

Amazing flashlight, really bright, very powerful and good battery life. Only issue is the flashlight gets super hot when used in the brightest setting. Side lights both white and multi-colored lights are great, it also does strobes. Belt clip is great it wont doesnt fall off. It has a thumb button the bottom of flashlight for quicker power on. Recharge time is pretty quick, it is a bit heavy but what flashlight with good battery supply wouldn’t be heavy. Fits in my hand pretty good, I have small hands. It also allows you to adjust the brightness of the lumen, from the lowest to the highest brightness. I would recommend, only 1 star off because for me, the unit gets too hot on the brightest setting.
