Clean drinking water can be hard to find when you’re hiking, traveling, camping, or dealing with an emergency. The LifeStraw Personal Water Filter provides a compact, lightweight way to access treated drinking water from appropriate freshwater sources without relying on electricity or batteries.
This 4-pack features LifeStraw’s hollow fiber membrane filtration technology. According to the manufacturer, the membrane removes 99.999999% of waterborne bacteria, including E. coli and Salmonella, and 99.999% of waterborne parasites, including Giardia and Cryptosporidium.
The filter also removes microplastics down to 1 micron and reduces turbidity from dirt, sand, and other suspended particles. Each filter is designed to provide up to 4,000 liters (1,000 gallons) of water with proper use and maintenance.
With four individual filters included, this pack is well suited for keeping one in multiple emergency kits, sharing among family members, or having backups available for outdoor trips.

HOW IT FITS YOUR EMERGENCY KIT
A LifeStraw provides physical filtration for appropriate freshwater sources, making it useful as part of a broader emergency water strategy. For additional protection and flexibility, pair a physical filter with a chemical water treatment such as Aquatabs when appropriate and according to each product’s instructions.
IMPORTANT
This product should be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions and limitations. It is a water filter, not a universal water purifier. It does not make every type of contaminated water safe to drink, and it should not be relied upon for water containing chemicals, fuels, heavy metals, saltwater, or other contaminants outside the filter’s stated capabilities.

Solid backup filter
Good backcountry backup filter or emergency hiking filter. Not recommended for use in city environments as it doesn’t filter out viruses. Great value for its performance. Lightweight and compact.

Will recommend!
I got this early July before going to Yosemite and Big Sur and happy I purchase. Easy instructions to use/ keep clean, drank in both places didn’t clog, lightweight and small enough so it didn’t take up much space in my backpack. Definitely taking this to other places in the future👍🏽

Something everyone needs and use!
I bought this for my son who loves to hunt and fish and camping. He loves it. My other adult son did too! I ended up getting them both one. This is a gift I would want even. And im a 48 year old MiMi. It’s something we all should have for survival. It’s amazing how it works and no filters like some water bottles have. It’s as pictured and even better in real life. To have a straw to be able to drink water safely is a blessing! No picture they were so excited about it. If I find the picture I’ll post it.

Hikers’ dream
Absolute must for hikers. No more carrying gallons of water for overnighter. Works directly from a stream or a glass/cup. To prevent any leakage, Be sure to blow leftover water out after use. I read to store it, mix 1 top. salt in 1 cup of water and suck it into tube. Close both ends and lie flat. Saves membranes and prevents mold. Happy hiking!!

Works when you need it!
I drank out of a dirty pond water and did not get diarrhea. Win!
