Bring the classic game of chess wherever you go with the ELONGDI 15 inch Wooden Magnetic Chess Set. Designed for both casual games and serious practice, this folding wooden chess set combines a traditional appearance with practical features that make it convenient for travel, storage, and everyday play.
The magnetic chess pieces help keep the game securely in place, while the folding board provides a compact way to store and transport the set. With its walnut colored finish, rounded edges, retro style metal latches, and dedicated storage compartments, this chess set makes an attractive addition to a game room while also being easy to take on the road.
Magnetic Chess Pieces for Stable Play
Each chess piece features a magnetic base with felt backing to help keep it securely positioned on the chessboard. The magnetic surface helps prevent pieces from shifting during play, making the set particularly convenient when playing while traveling or in situations where the board may be moved.
The felt backing also provides a smooth contact surface that helps protect the chessboard during regular use.
Quality Wooden Construction
The chessboard and pieces feature a polished wooden construction with a walnut colored design that gives the set a classic appearance. Smooth surfaces and rounded edges provide a comfortable feel while adding to the overall finished look of the chess set.
The natural wood appearance and contrasting board design create a traditional chess aesthetic that works well in a game room, office, living room, or recreational space.
Folding Chessboard Design
The chessboard folds into a compact wooden case for convenient storage and transportation. When folded, the board measures approximately 15.4 inches by 7.68 inches by 2 inches.
When opened, the chessboard measures approximately 15.4 inches by 15.35 inches by 1 inch, providing a comfortable playing surface while still being compact enough for travel.
Two retro style metal latches help keep the board securely closed when folded.
Built In Storage for Chess Pieces
The interior of the folding chessboard includes dedicated storage compartments for the chess pieces. Each piece has its own designated space, helping keep the set organized when it is not being used.
The built in storage design also helps prevent the pieces from knocking against one another during transportation and makes it easier to keep the complete set together.
Rounded Corners and Classic Color Design
The chessboard features rounded edges and smooth lines that provide a refined appearance while helping the board better withstand everyday handling.
The contrasting color design highlights the natural appearance of the wood while creating a classic playing surface that is easy to incorporate into different settings.

Outstanding Quality – My Son Absolutely Loved It
I bought this 15″ wooden magnetic chess set as a gift for my son, and it was an instant hit. The craftsmanship is excellent—the wood has a rich walnut finish, everything is smoothly polished, and it feels far more premium than the price suggests. Also, the magnetic pieces are a huge win. They hold firmly in place without feeling awkward or overly strong, which makes it perfect for travel or casual play on the couch or at the table. Even when the board is tilted or moved, the pieces stay put. The felted bottoms and magnetic board show real attention to detail. The folding case and internal storage are extremely well designed. Each piece has its own slot, so nothing rattles around or gets damaged, and the metal clasps keep everything securely closed. I especially appreciate the rounded corners—they help prevent the edges from getting dinged or chipped over time, which is a smart, practical touch for a portable set. This is an excellent gift for kids or adults alike—portable, durable, beautiful, and extremely well made. Highly recommended.

Great Set, Great Company, I Love It
I was introduced to this chess set from a buddy who brings it out and so many of us started playing on several different boards this board is high quality, great travel set. Real wood, very nice looking board and pieces with rounded corners and latches. The pieces are light wood, but the magnets make them fun to play with making them feel heavier. The first board I got had a mark on it so I requested a trade in and within 2 days got a new set. I contemplated just keeping them both. So, solid company and the board is legit. Great value for a pretty travel board.

Nice set!
This is a perfect chess set for young and old. I like that the pieces store easily in the case and it’s magnetic. While the magnets aren’t particularly strong they are adequate. All in all it works well and I’d recommend.

Great chess board
Bought as a gift for my Son and he loves it. Good quality and great case where each piece has a spot. Takes a few minutes to put away but you won’t ever loose a piece. Also comes with an extra queen for both colors

Good beginner chess set.
For the money, it’s a good beginner’s chess set. The pieces are not as nicely finished as those in the pictures. Being magnetized is a great feature, it gives you the feeling that the pieces are heavier than they actually are. The board doubles as the carrying case and seems well built.

The magnetic pieces are such a great feature

I’m really happy with this chess set, especially because the pieces are magnetic. They stay securely on the board instead of sliding or falling off when the board is moved, which makes a big difference when playing.I also really like the wooden look and the classic design. The board has a nice finish, and the pieces look great against the squares.I bought this for my son who is into chess now and I was really impressed with the quality. The magnetic feature is definitely my favorite part because it makes the set much more practical, especially if you need to move the board or play somewhere where the surface isn’t completely stable.I included a video so you can see the board, the pieces, and how everything looks in person. Overall, I’m very happy with this set.
