SPARTACUS II SPINNING REEL
The Spartacus II spinning reel features a 7+1 MaxiDur bearing system designed for smooth casting and retrieval. Its 22-pound maximum drag provides substantial fish-fighting power, while the 5.2:1 gear ratio offers a balance of speed and control.

This is my first purchase of a KastKing rod and reel combo. Up until now, I have been a die-hard Penn user. I chose the Spartacus II combo based on a friends recommendation.My first impression was WOW! The Spartacus II combo with the 3000 series reel feels like an upgrade to my similar sized reels. The rod feels like high-quality graphite with stainless steel guides and a comfortable cork handle paired with an unbelievably smooth, precision spinning reel. I couldn’t be happier with my choice!The performance of this set is absolutely outstanding. The reel complements the rod perfectly. Its smooth drag system allows for seamless line management, and the gear ratio ensures quick retrieval without sacrificing power. I loaded it with over 200 yards 20 lb braided line. The reel’s construction is top-notch, suggesting it will withstand the wear and tear of frequent use.Overall, the Spartacus II Rod and Spinning Reel combination has elevated my fishing tackle arsenal. High quality! Feels like a rod you put back on the shelf cause it was $300 over your budget.
Blown away by the quality of this rod/reel combo. You even receive an extra top half with your purchase. I never heard of the company and figured I would give them a shot. I purchased some 6LB and 8LB mono and it is amazing. I think it’s my favorite combo set I have now but for a fraction of the price the some other brands. Good packaging for shipping. Not joking about High Quality.****UPDATE**** after a week of good use I have found this set up to be my main rod. I usually bring 3 to cut down on time for lure changes but I would rather snip and tie with this rod. I like it so much I came on here to purchase 2 more so I can see how it handles a little lighter line. Prices have gone up. Maybe we shouldn’t give such good reviews but they are still well worth $110. I don’t think you can touch a reel this nice for under $75 and you get two rod tips. For my original price I might have took two more but just going to get another one at the price increase. I’m impressed by the line 6&8 mono. Going to try a braided this go around. Impressive quality

Tips are very weak and brittle
Both tips broke within a week I’ve had the casting version of this rod for over a year with no problems but the spinning combo did not hold up at all

60 New River Smallmouth Bass, 12 Hours, 1 Rod & Reel
After a lot of research and debate about what new rod and reel to purchase for my smallmouth bass fishing, I landed on the KastKing Spartacus II. This is my first KastKing product and I only wish that I would have tried KastKing out sooner. I just spent 12 hours on the New River in Summers County West Virginia using this setup to catch 60 smallmouth bass! The casting is so smooth and I didn’t have a single backlash the entire day allowing more casts and less tangles. I used this combo all day and it was so easy and smooth that I believe I had another hundred casts in me! I threw flukes, crankbaits, topwater, and chatterbaits using this setup and it never disappointed me. I want this model in the baitcaster next and it is first up on my next rod and reel purchase list.

Solid affordable rod
Solid rod. Little heavier than my other spinning combos but those are also higher tier. Bought this to be my new go to wacky rig set up and it works beautifully. Paired it up some beyond braid 10lb and she casts smoothly and the distance is incredible. Definitely worth the money. Snagged a decent bass my first couple of casts with it as-well.

Broken eyelet upon arrival, but good reel
The reel is amazing! Casts very smoothly and the feel is comfortable. I loved the rod when I first opened the box but upon further inspection the largest eyelet guide ring was bent and the glue holding it together was shattered.. a little disappointing but will just replace rod with a new one, like I said the reel is fantastic though just wish the rod was in better condition.
